The Mondelli Family Farm is situated in the Manganaro district inside the Gargano National Park at the foot of the famous art city of Monte Sant'Angelo. At the altitude of 150 meters, the farm dominates the plain of Macchia, well known for its centuries-old olive growing. The farm covers an area of almost 5 acres, fully planted with olive trees with some specimens of almond and carob trees. The olives are rigorously hand-picked , on the same day they are sent to the adjacent oil press La Torre in order to be crushed in the day. Here we carry out continuous stringent checks of acidity and peroxide value on each batch. The extra virgin olive oil, is then stored in stainless steel basins and kept at a constant temperature below 18 degrees centigrades, until it is bottled just before release. Thanks to farm small size, its entirely managed by the Mondelli family supported by local workers only. Local practices of pruning and plowing ensure the high quality of the olives and then a very low acidity' of the produced oil.
