The Riva del Garda Agraria was established in 1926. Founded through the love of local farmers for their territory, the Agraria is now a cooperative and has grown through the years guided by the insight and passion of it’s members. Today it’s a shining example of the modern cooperative entrepreneurship typical of the Trentino region, with strict ties to the territory – there are around 300 grape producing members and 1200 olive growers, 80 of whom confer their products to the Riva Agraria. The Agraria can be considered an integrated economic system for territorial development, as it provides support for its members with both on-site field consultation and agricultural products in addition to the collection and elaboration of olives and grapes, marketing, direct sales and promotion of the final products, wine and olive oil. Precisely for these reasons, it proudly promotes the concept of “zero km products” – local produce available directly from the producer to the consumer. Local products from the surrounding territory with direct traceability for both quality and agricultural sustainability. In 2007 the Agraria moved to a new site in Riva del Garda where technology combines with tradition. The new building and modern processing facilities have resulted in even higher quality standards in both the winery and olive press production as well as giving a boost to the image and perceived value of the cooperative. The new premise includes one retail stores and was designed specifically to welcome visitors and allow them to taste and experience various local specialties including the gastronomic delights of our wines, extra-virgin olive oil, salami and other cold cuts, meats and cheeses, preserved fruits and jams, honey, and vegetable preserves and sauces.
